Coachella Camping Checklist- The essential packing list

With just a couple of weeks to Coachella 2014, its time to start thinking about what you’re going to pack for your weekend of Desert Music Fun.

Here’s our Coachella Camping Checklist to ensure you have an awesome weekend seeing your favorite bands.

Must Have Items (You can get by without everything else except…)

  • Wristband….seriously u’ll be surprised!
  • Sunglasses
  • Good attitude (No Dicks please)


Essential Coachella Packing List

  • Beer (make sure it’s all in plastic containers. No Glass is allowed)
  • Tent (Buy Now)
  • Sleeping Bag/ Liner & Blankets (it gets surprisingly cold at night) (Buy Now)
  • Toothbrush & Toothpaste
  • Deodorant
  • Sunscreen (You’re in the desert people)
  • Toilet roll
  • Small backpack (Buy Now)
  • Clothes (Include a Hoody/ Jacket for night)
  • Shoes
  • Hat (Keep covered in the sun)

Great to have

  • Air mattress (bring a Battery operated pump so you don’t do anything strenuous) (Buy Now)
  • Camping Chairs (make sure it has a cup holder for beer) (Buy Now)
  • Gas Camping stove (cooking your own food is part of the fun) (Buy Now)
  • Camping utensils – plastic Knives, Forks, Cups etc (Buy Now)
  • Multi tool (no man should ever camp without one, but make sure to keep it hidden) (Buy Now)
  • Easy up canopy (relief from the midday sun) (Buy Now)
  • Headlamp (Keep it handy for when you need to find something in the middle of the night) (Buy Now)
  • Phone
  • Watch (for when your phone dies and need to know the time) (Buy Now)
  • Camera (make sure its nothing fancy, ive seen people not allowed into the arenas because the camera was ‘too professional’
  • Chargers (Phones, Cameras etc)
  • Paracord (Essential for any travel trip)
  • Duct Tape (Just pack it and see how useful it is)
  • Extra Tarp (create more shade between your car and easy up) (Buy Now)
  • Baby wipes (Stay fresh even if don’t shower for 3 days)
  • Earplugs (Wear them both for sleeping and listening to music. Trust me)
  • Aspirin/ Ibuprofen (For the hangover, twisted ankle etc)
  • Band aids (nobody likes blisters)
  • Condoms (if you’re lucky enough, always wear protection)
  • Hand sanitizer

Other things to consider

  • Make sure you drink plenty of water. Its free from the water fountains and you can buy it everywhere.
  • Take lots of cash. Make sure you split it up and hide it in several places so if it gets stolen or lost, its not all gone. There are cash machines available but expect to wait a very long time.
  • Take one backpack for you and your friends and take turns carrying it.
  • Try and eat some healthy food over the weekend. Your body will thank you for it later.

Ultimately have FUN people and BE SAFE.
